Huge timelines have converged to make this possible. At the core is the mixed reality headset. Unlike virtual reality (VR) where the user sees a completely artificial world, mixed reality passes video of the outside world to the user and augments that video. This may sound similar to augmented reality (AR) which uses a see through display to augment your real view of the world. The fundamental difference is the size of the field of view. In AR the field of view is so small, it’s hard to be immersed in the experience the way you can with mixed reality where the visuals dominate your entire field. The time is finally now. We can’t wait to share this new world with you.
